The options are so many that it can spoil or confuse the buyer. Some LED products look very much like the lighting bulbs that we have been using since decades, so making the      switch might become a daunting task for many.
So in this article, we will talk about some important terms that every homeowner and contractors should be aware of when they step into the market to buy LED products and lightings.

Why Switch To LED?

Those who are still using traditional lightings often ask why they should switch to LED Corn light and many more options. Well, the answer lies in the benefits that such a thing offers. LED lights are much more energy efficient but that doesn’t mean that there’s a compromise on its brightness and appearance. Also, as they come in a much more compact shape, making them an ideal solution for a number of applications.

Terminology

When one goes to the market to buy traditional incandescent light bulbs, they have to pay attention to the bulb shape, wattage, and the screw base to make sure it fits into the lamp. As far as LED Flood Lights is concerned, you need to see three major things and that is – Brightness, Light appearance & Color rendering. There’s no doubt that LED products are expensive but they are also energy-saving and last much longer than the traditional ones. So you must understand these three things properly to make most of your money by buying the right lighting product.

·       Brightness

Incandescent bulbs wattage and brightness had a direct correlation but it is not true with LED Corn Bulb and other LED products. LED consumes much less power or watts so you cannot compare the brightness solely based on watts. So when you are buying LED light, look for ‘lumens’. It is the measure of brightness in a LED light, so this will help you in understanding the brightness of a particular product.

·        Light Appearance

The color of the light is measured in Kelvin (K). If you want to know if a lighting bulb creates warmer or cooler light, look at the Kelvin number. The lower the number, the warmer will be the light and vice versa. Those who want a warmer or a cooler light now knows what to see in order to determine which one is best for their requirements.

·       Color Accuracy

Different light sources differ in their ability to display the correct color of the objects like it can be seen under the light of the sun. You can see the Color Rendering Index (CRI) on the packaging of Corn Light Bulb to determine the color accuracy.
